MORSE INDUSTRIES UNVEILED NEW PRODUCTS AT IBEX 2006
Kent, WA – November 3, 2006 – Morse Industries unveiled three new products at the 2006 International Boatbuilders Exposition & Conference (IBEX) in Miami, Florida. These innovative new designs included a Water Resistant, Self Locking Pull Up Cleat that was featured as a submission for IBEX’s Innovation Awards. Also seen at the show were new twist-lock mooring poles and the new Stainless Steel Duette Rub Rail patent pending .
Steve Klein, Vice President of Sales for Morse Industries, had this to say about the new cleat. “As OEM boat manufacturers continue to add new styles of pull-up and pop-up cleats to their boat models, cleats that rattle, don’t stay up, and leak water are quickly becoming a common problem for both boat manufacturers and boat owners. Our innovative design uses a full length nylon bushing to keep water from entering the boat through the cleat, while eliminating rattling under all conditions. In addition, t he self locking mechanism allows the cleat to stay in place while in the up or down position.”
Morse also introduced a new three-tier Twist Lock Mooring Pole. This new pole is designed using a twist lock tension mechanism to secure the pole making lost thumbscrews a thing of the past. The addition of white nylon hardware eliminates annoying black marking on the boat floor.
Also at IBEX was the debut of the new Stainless Steel Duette Rub Rail. With the rising cost and weight of stainless steel, we’re pleased to introduce a patent pending stainless steel rub rail, made with 316, that installs in tandem with an adhered vinyl core. With custom end caps, this combination delivers the same high polished mirror finish and look as solid back, but without the extra weight; all at a price that is cost effective.
