Stainless Steel Tubing
Morse Industries carries a wide variety of ornamental stainless steel tubing for manufacturing and fabrication applications. Customers utilize our stainless tubing for grab-rails, marine towers, awnings, hand railing and many other uses. Various custom O.D. sizes and wall thickness sizes are available. ASTM- A-554 specification is standard.
Stainless steel tubing is widely used in industrial applications. It is tough, durable and can be processed into many shapes and sizes. It can be flexible stainless steel tubing or rigid stainless steel tubing, depending on the material and its purpose. It holds a middle ground between pipe, which is generally far more rigid, and hose, which is generally more flexible.
The most common stainless steel tubing O.D. sizes range from ½" to 3". The most common gauges (wall thicknesses) are .035 (20 gauge), .049 (18 gauge), .065 (16 gauge), .083 (14 gauge) and .120 (11 gauge).
Round stainless tubing can be drawn or pressed into square, rectangular, elliptical or oval shapes.
The most common stainless steel alloys we provide are: 304, 304L, 316, 316L ("L" denotes low carbon). Finishes include 2B (mill finish), 180, 240 or 320 grit circumferential or linear finishing, 600 polished and buffed (#6) finish and linear buffed (#8) mirror finish.
Morse Industries can perform the fabrication to stainless steel tubing including cutting to length (+/- 1/16" standard), bending and welding, and swaging and notching.
