Stainless Stamped Hardware
Morse Industries can help you create superior quality metal hardware components for a wide range of applications including hinges, vents, brackets and housings. Parts can be tapped, assembled, flattened or coined as part of the process.
The Stamping Process
A coil or strip of stainless steel feeds into a press that runs the metal through a series of dies. There are four basic ways this can be done:
- A Compound Die process forms the part in one press of the stamping machine with a single station die.
- A Progressive Die process forms the part using a series of dies and press strokes. This is used for more complex shapes and bends.
- A Deep Draw process uses a series of dies and press strokes to form tubular shapes.
- A Laser Cutting process offers quick turnaround with little set-up time. It allows for high-speed cutting for generally a lower cost than other methods.
- Parts can then undergo further fabrication and finishing to customer's specifications.
