Stainless Cast Fittings
Morse Industries can help you create superior quality fittings made from 316 marine grade stainless steel. Fittings are manufactured at a state-of-the-art foundry with every run tested for quality and workmanship. Each fitting is hand-polished and passivated to insure a beautiful, bright finish and long life in tough outdoor environments.
The Casting Process
- A die is made for injecting wax patterns.
- Molten wax is injected into the die.
- The wax pattern is removed from the die.
- The patterns are assembled in a tree.
- The tree is dipped in a ceramic slurry and then held under a sand shower until the required shell thickness is achieved.
- Heat is used to remove the wax from the mould.
- The mould is preheated.
- Metal is poured directly into the hot mould.
- The sand mould is then broken off.
- The pieces are removed from the tree.
- Individual parts are then fabricated and polished to customer's specifications.
Requirements
- A minimum quantity will be required based on size and complexity of the order.
- A tooling charge could apply based on the quantity ordered.
- A sample or drawing of the product is required to begin production.
